Pete Brazil, Mel Paul and Mary Lacey

May was a quiet month for The Lord Hill Country Music Club, what with all the Bank Holidays and really good weather here in Shropshire!

That being said we hosted Mel Paul and Mary Lacey wowing the crowds with "Walk on By" and "Walking in the Irish Rain" amongst their songs for the evening.

Pete Brazil also put in a great performance, getting the everyone on their feet and clapping along to the classic "I met her at the Galtimore". Pete Brazil's performance was over-shadowed by a new-comer to the Country Music scene, and by new-comer, I really mean NEW-comer! Finlay Brazil, Pete's grand-son. At only 8 years old (nearly 9, if you ask Finlay), he confidently took to the stage, and without any sign of nerves, stole the show with "Somewhere, Over the Rainbow".

Rounding off the evening Finlay joined Pete Brazil, Mel Paul and Mary Lacey on stage to make it another memorable night at The Lord Hill Country Music Club!

Emily and Ellie, as always looked after us really well and for anyone wondering, the Compere for the evening still hasn't gotten any better, but at least the singers and the entertainment were able to make the evening a success!

Looking forward to June with John McNicholl, Dave Bryan, Shawn Cuddy and Middy. Hope you can join us!
